- The Syracuse basketball team does remember how to win! After losing four straight games, the Orange went to Connecticut and defeated the Huskies, 66-58. That's a huge victory for Syracuse, especially on the road. ↵
- Wednesday was National Signing Day for college football teams. Syracuse coach Doug Marrone is happy with his class of 27 new players. By most accounts, the day was a great one for Rutgers, which might have had its best signing day in Greg Schiano's 11 years as head coach. ↵
- St. John's edged Rutgers, 58-56, in a Big East meeting between two area schools. ↵
- The New York Knicks were no match for the Dallas Mavericks Wednesday night, losing 113-97. ↵
