The New York Knicks are back in the top half of the field in the most recent SB Nation NBA Power Rankings, released this morning. The Knicks are 14th, barely squeezing into the top half. The New Jersey Nets are 28th in the 30-team league.
The Knicks are 25-22 and coming off a 124-106 victory over the Detroit Pistons. The Knicks also defeated LeBron James and the Miami Heat last week, sandwiching those victories around a loss to the Atlanta Hawks.
The Nets (15-34) have been winning at home lately, but losing miserably on the road. As SB Nation points out, New Jersey is a respectable 12-11 at the Prudential Center, but just 3-23 away from home.
The top five teams are the San Antonio Spurs, Miami Heat, Boston Celtics, Chicago Bulls and Los Angeles Lakers. Below the Nets bringing up the bottom are the Washington Wizards (29th) and Cleveland Cavaliers (30th).
