2011 National Signing Day: Syracuse Tries To Build On Pinstripe Bowl Victory

The Syracuse football program is looking to build off one of its most successful seasons in the last decade by landing a couple prized recruits Wednesday during national letter of intent signing day. The Orange, who finished the 2010-11 season with a 36-34 victory over the Kansas State Wildcats in the New Era Pinstripe Bowl, Dec. 30, with it's best overall record (8-5) since 2004, wants to add to its momentum. By the looks of things, it seems that head coach Doug Marrone is on the right track.

According to Orangefizz.net, the third-year head coach has landed impact recruits like wide receivers Brandon Reddish, DeFarrel Davis and running back Adonis Ameen-Moore. However, the Orange did lose out on wide receiver  Ishaq Williams, who chose the Notre Dame Fighting Irish over SU and the Penn State Nittany Lions. But that's in the past, Wednesday brings in the future -- and hopefully defensive end Kevin McReynolds! Already, SU's top targets, offensive lineman Ivan Foy and defensive back Ritchy Desire, verbally committed before Wednesday.

Also on Wednesday, Marrone will make an appearance on ESPNU's 10-hour signing-day show and conduct a press conference at SU's Manley Field House (4:30 p.m ET) to discuss the incoming recruits. SB Nation New York will have a full recap Wednesday night of SU's second signing day under Marrone.
