Linebacker Kasheem Green, who was named the conference's co-defensive player of the year, led four Scarlet Knights on the first team.

The Big East postseason football awards were announced on Friday, honoring eight Rutgers players.

Linebacker Khaseem Greene, who was named the conference's co-defensive player of the year, led four Scarlet Knights selected to the conference's first team. Green paced the Big East with 127 regular season tackles, averaging 10.6 per game, and led Rutgers to the conference's best scoring defense (18.8 points per game) and yardage defense (311.5 yards per game). He became the first Rutgers player to be chosen Big East defensive player of the year.

Greene was joined on the first team by wide receiver Mohamed Sanu, offensive lineman Art Forst and safety Duron Harmon. Sanu, a junior, caught 109 passes for 1,144 yards and seven touchdowns.

Four additional Rutgers players were selected to the conference's second team: offensive lineman Desmond Wynn, kick returner Jeremy Deering, cornerback Logan Ryan and punter Justin Doerner
