Seton Hall basketball is a bully in New Jersey. Or at least it was on Tuesday night, beating up on the NJIT Highlanders in a 78-48 win. The Pirates improved to 7-1 on the season with the win.

Herb Pope scored 25 points grabbed six rebounds and dished out for assists to lead Seton Hall. Perhaps the highlanders would have done well to institute some technology to stop him. (Sorry.)

Here's more from SB Nation's Seton Hall blog, South Orange Juice:

Although the game got out of control early in the second half, the brand of basketball on display wasn't exactly what one might consider perfection. This is a game where you expect some reserves to score in double figures, yet, it wasn't to be. In fact, all of the starters didn't even accomplish the feat as Fuquan Edwin ended his night with just 9pts on nine shot attempts. FU did add 6reb/5stl/2ast/blk, so it's not to say he didn't contribute a lot to this game, he did, I'm just simply making note of an off scoring night for the sophomore.

Seton Hall led by just two after the end of the first half, but woke up in the second half, turning the game into a blowout.
