After 12 regular-season games the Big East Conference title was finally decided Saturday, as three program-- West Virginia University, the University of Louisville and the University of Cincinnati -- each earned a share of the league title. The Mountaineers (9-3, 5-2 Big East) and Bearcats (9-3, 5-2) finished up its regular-season schedules Saturday with victories, while the Cardinals (7-5, 5-2) had a bye this week, but earned a 34-24 victory over the University of South Florida last Friday, Nov. 25.

The Big East's Bowl Championship Series bowl berth (a trip to the Orange Bowl) will be decided by which program earns the highest point total in the BCS rankings, which will be released late Sunday night. Currently, SB Nation's BCS Bowl Projections have the Mountaineers earning the invite and playing Clemson University, the Atlantic Coast Conference champion, which defeated Virginia Tech, 38-10, Saturday night. The Orange Bowl will be played Jan. 4 at 8:17 p.m. ET.
