Seton Hall Vs. West Virginia: Pirates Defeat Mountaineers 67-48

The Seton Hall Pirates, who lost their last game to No. 1 Syracuse, bounced back to improved their record to 12-2 and won their first Big East game of the season after taking down the West Virginia Mountaineers in Prudential Center by a score of 67-48 Friday night.

The Pirates were led by sophomore guard Fuquan Edwin, who scored 19 points against West Virginia. Senior guard Jordan Theodore added 18 and senior forward Herb Pope added 13. The other two starters, Patrik Auda and Aaron Cosby, combined for 11 points. The Mountaineers were led by senior forward Kevin Jones, who scored 15 points, and senior guard Darryl Bryant, who scored 11. The other three West Virginia starters, Deniz Kilicli, Jabarie Hinds and Keaton Miles combined for 16 points.

With the win, Seton Hall is sitting in sixth place in the Big East and West Virginia sits in seventh, both with 1-1 in conference records. The Pirates host the No. 9 Connecticut Huskies on Tuesday and the Mountaineers travel to Rutgers to face the Scarlet Knights on Wednesday.
