The Seton Hall Pirates loos to end their non-conference schedule on a positive note Friday as the Pirates play at the Longwood University at Willett Hall in Farmville, VA. Seton Hall (10-1) is trying to extended its current winning streak to eight games and enter Big East Conference play, which begins Wednesday, Dec. 28, at Syracuse University, which is ranked No. 1 in the nation, on a positive note.
The Pirates are searching for their second straight road victory after Wednesday defeating the University of Dayton, 69-64. Sophomore forward Patrik Auda paced Seton Hall with a collegiate-best 18 points, including 11 consecutive in the second half, while senior forward Herb Pope continued his solid play tallying 14 points and collecting nine rebounds. Pope currently leads the Big East Conference in scoring (21.4 points per game) and rebounds (11.5 points per game).
Meanwhile, the Lancers (4-7) are an Independent program that is led by senior center Antwan Carter, who is averaging 16.8 points and 9.0 rebounds per game.
