Heading into their Saturday showdown, neither the New York Giants nor the New York Jets have a whole lot to brag about. That includes their place in the Week 16 NFL Power Rankings from SB Nation.
The Jets (8-6) are No. 12 after being walloped by the Philadelphia Eagles, 45-19, on Sunday. SB Nation’s Joel Thorman is buying what Jets coach Rex Ryan is selling when he writes “If they can get in [the playoffs], they’ll be a dangerous team.”
The Giants (7-7) are at No. 15. Considering the fact that the Giants have lost five of six that could be generous, and Thorman appears to know it, writing “I might be overvaluing them here. Still, they can get in by finishing the season strong.”
The Giants and Jets meet Saturday at 1 p.m. at MetLife Stadium. Bragging rights and a whole lot more are on the line for both teams.
