Week 13 NFL Picks And Predictions: Giants Pull Off Upset; Jets Continue Winning Ways

It has been a rough two weeks for SB Nation New York's Jared Smith, who has gone 1-9 and dropped his overall record to 27-25-2. But, he's ready to break out of the slump with his Week 13 NFL Picks and Predictions.

After slowly working my way up to a solid 10-games above .500 two weeks ago, I have hit a two-week slump (1-9) that has put my overall record at 27-25-2. What's wrong? I have no clue, but I am willing try and snap out of it this week.

Here are my Week 13 NFL Picks and Predictions:

Steelers (-7) vs. Bengals (1 p.m. ET on CBS): My strategy for most of the year is looking at the game's opposing quarterback and picking the better of the two. History tells me that Pittsburgh's Ben Roethlisberger, two Super Bowl rings, is a better quarterback, but I just can seem to root against Cincinnati's Andy Dalton. Bengals cover. Prediction: Steelers 24, Bengals 21.

Jets (-3) vs. Redskins (1 p.m. ET on CBS): I think that New York's victory last week over the Buffalo Bills is going to propel them to better play in the future. Well, at least that's what I am telling myself this week. Prediction: Jets 28, Redskins 17.

Falcons (-3) at Texas (1 p.m. on FOX): Do you really think Houston quarterback Matt Leinart is going to keep it close against Atlanta quarterback Matt Ryan. Ahhh, no. Prediction: Falcons 31, Texans 17.

Packers (-8) at Giants (4:15 p.m. ET on FOX): Currently, New York is in the middle of a three-game losing streak and what a better way to break one then against the league's best team, Green Bay. For some reason I just feel as if the Giants are going to come to play. Prediction: Giants 21, Packers 20.

Saints (-9) at Lions (8:20 ET on NBC): Last week, New Orleans did a solid job of embarrassing the Giants during primetime television. I think the Saints do the same to Detroit on Sunday night. Prediction: Saints 40, Lions 21.

Last Week: 1-4. Overall: 27-25-2.
