New York Jets wide receiver Plaxico Burress is expected to play Sunday against the Buffalo Bills, despite the lower back injury that limited him during practice Thursday and Friday.
Defensive tackle Mike DeVito, on the other hand, is listed as inactive due to the knee injury that kept him out of practice Wednesday and limited him Thursday and Friday. The Jets will be without a second defensive tackle in the form of rookie Kenrick Ellis, who is out with an ankle injury. The rest of the Jets inactive list follows: quarterback Kevin O'Connell, wide receiver Eron Riley, running back Bilal Powell, cornerback Isaiah Trufant and tight end Shawn Nelson.
The Jets have announced that Marcus Dixon will start in DeVito's place, marking his third start as a pro. In addition, Martin Tevaseu will be part of New York's five-man defensive line rotation.
