The New York Jets earned a victory Sunday -- 28-24 over the Buffalo Bills -- while the New York Giants lost badly Monday -- 49-24 to the New Orleans Saints -- but the results did little to effect both franchise's standings in the Week 13 NFL Power Rankings.
As of Tuesday morning, the Giants dropped slightly in the NFL.com rankings (No. 10 to No. 13), but moved slightly up in SI.com's Peter King's rankings (No. 13 to No. 12), which were released Monday morning before New York's loss to the Saints Monday night.
Meanwhile, the Jets are still not ranked in King's rankings, which list only the top 15 teams, but moved up from No. 16 to No. 15 in NFL.com's. (Note: King's rankings would account for New York's gritty victory over the Bills Sunday.)
Currently, the Giants (6-4), who are on a three-game losing streak, trail the first-place Dallas Cowboys by one game in the NFC East standings. The Jets (6-5) trail the first-place New England Patriots (8-3) by two games in the AFC East standings.
