The Miami Dolphins are the first team in NFL history to lose their first seven games of an NFL season and win their next three. The New York Giants can only hope that the Dolphins can make that four in a row Thursday against the Dallas Cowboys (4:15 p.m. ET, CBS).
The Giants and Cowboys are both 6-4, fighting for the NFC East title. Dallas, however, holds the tie-breaker advantages. Thus, the Giants need all the help they can get if they hope to hurdle past Dallas to win the division.
The Dolphins are 5-1 in Thanksgiving Day appearances. Quarterback Matt Moore, who took over the job when Chad Henne was lost for the season, is 51 of 72 passes (70.8 pct.) for 613 yards with 6 TDs vs. 1 INT & a 118.6 rating during Miami's winning streak.
Dallas quarterback Tony Romo is 4-0 on Thanksgiving Day starts.
