Seton Hall got back into the win column on Tuesday night with a 73-62 win over Yale in NCAA action from the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ.
Senior forward Herb Pope, who lit up Northwestern University with 32 points in the 2011 Charleston Classic on Sunday, once again led the Pirates on offense, scoring 17 points with 10 rebounds, three assists, three steals and three blocks.
In other words, he was electric.
The Bulldogs tried to take a bite out of Seton Hall's lead behind Jeremiah Kreisberg's 14 points, 13 rebounds, two assists and one block; however, the Pirates led by six at the half and never looked back.
The win pushed Seton Hall, who faces St. Peter's Peacocks on Saturday night, to 2-0 at home and 4-1 overall. Yale, who next faces the Army Black Knights in West Point, falls to 0-2 on the road and 2-2 overall.
