Charleston, SC (Sports Network) – Drew Crawford scored 27 points and grabbed six rebounds as Northwestern won the DirectTV Charleston Classic with a 80-73 victory Sunday night over Seton Hall.
John Shurna added 19 points and seven points for Northwestern (4-0), which shot 56.0 percent from the field. Luka Mirkovic added 12 points for the Wildcats.
Herb Pope scored 32 points and pulled down nine rebounds for Seton Hall (3-1), while Jordan Theodore added 16 points on 6-of-18 shooting.
Northwestern shot 61.5 percent from the field in the first half and took a 40-30 lead into recess. The Wildcats went on a 13-6 run to end the game.
Seton Hall shot 49.2 percent from the field, and hit 10-of-23 from three-point range.
The Pirates will return to action Tuesday night when they host the Yale Bulldogs in another non-conference game. Seton Hall will also play host to St. Peter’s on Saturday.
