The Rutgers University football program will host its most important game of the season Saturday as the Scarlet Knights host the University of Cincinnati in a Big East Conference contest at High Point Solutions Stadium (noon on ESPNU). Rutgers (7-3, 3-2 Big East), which trails the Bearcats (7-2, 3-1) by a half game in the Big East standings, needs a victory to keep its chances at a league title and its Bowl Championship Series bowl berth alive. A loss to Cincinnati would basically eliminate any shot at the Big East championship, a goal head coach Greg Schiano has never won.

The Scarlet Knights face a program that it hasn't beaten in its last five tries. Last season, the Bearcats defeated the Scarlet Knights, 69-39, in the league's high-scoring football game ever (107 total points). Cincinnati compiled 661 total yards of offense, while Rutgers totaled minus-nine rushing yards.
