NFL Power Rankings Week 9: Giants Hold At No. 10, Jets Move Up A Spot With Bye Week

Our Week 9 NFL power rankings are out, and the Jets moved up a spot to No. 12 despite having a week off as the Giants held firm at No. 10 with their come-from-behind win over the Dolphins.

Though it was perhaps not the most convincing performance, the New York Giants' come-from-behind victory over the winless Miami Dolphins on Sunday was enough to keep Big Blue at No. 10 in this week's SB Nation NFL power rankings and Miami stuck at No. 32. The New York Jets, by contrast, moved up one spot to No. 12 despite having their bye week.

Our NFL editor, Joel Thorman seemed to have difficulty ranking both New York teams, as he noted his uncertainty about just how good each of the teams really was. The Giants' upcoming opponents, the New England Patriots, dropped one spot to No. 4 after a loss to the now third-ranked Pittsburgh Steelers over the weekend. The Jets will go up against divisional foes the Buffalo Bills, who moved up to No. 8 after a pasting of the Washington Redskins.

The Redskins dropped three spots to No. 22 as a result, with the Giants other NFC East competitors, the Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys moved in different directions after the Eagles' blowout win. The Eagles moved up two spots to No. 18 and the Cowboys fell all the way from 16th to 21st.

The undefeated Green Bay Packers topped the list followed by the San Francisco 49ers at No. 2. Formerly second-ranked New Orleans fell to No. 5.
