The New York Giants have jumped past the New York Jets in the ESPN Week 5 NFL Power Rankings, showing the Worldwide Leader has a difference of opinion with SBNation.com when it comes to the New York teams.
The Giants are No. 10 in this week’s ESPN rankings, up from No. 12 a week ago. The Giants have now won three straight games. The Jets are down to No. 14 in ESPN’s rankings, a big fall from No. 7 a week ago. The Jets have lost two straight games, and were miserable in Sunday night’s 34-17 loss to the Baltimore Ravens.
In the SB Nation rankings posted earlier, the Jets checked in at No. 9, while the Giants were at No. 12.
Either way, pretty obvious that right now the Giants are moving up while the Jets are headed in reverse. Of course, where these teams are after four weeks really doesn’t matter.
