The Rutgers University football program earned a 19-16 double overtime victory over Syracuse University last Saturday at the Carrier Dome. Senior kicker San San Te nailed a 47-yard field goal in the second OT to help the Scarlet Knights earn a three-point advantage and then SU senior running back Antwon Bailey fumbled to cement the victory, which snapped a two-game losing streak to the Orange (3-2). The win also helped the program open up its Big East Conference with a road win for the first time since 2006.

On Saturday at 3:30 p.m. (ESPNU), the Scarlet Knights host the University of Pittsburgh at High Point Solutions Stadium in Piscataway, NJ. Currently, the Panthers (3-2) own a two-game winning streak over the Scarlet Knights. Last year, Pitt defeated Rutgers, 41-21.

Last week, the Panthers (3-2) opened up its Big East schedule by easily defeating the University of South Florida, 44-17. Senior running back Ray Graham ran for a 226 yards and two touchdowns to help Pitt compiled 523 totals yards. So far, this season Graham has a league-best 734 yards.
