The Big East Conference football schedule was very light Saturday as just one contest, the University of Cincinnati at the University of South Florida, was on the docket. But, that didn't mean that it wasn't exciting. In case you missed it, here's your Sunday morning round up:
Cincinnati 37, South Florida 34
After tossing two first-half interceptions, Cincinnati senior quarterback Zach Collaros responded with a solid second-half to help lead the Bearcats (6-1, 2-0 Big East) edge the Bulls, 37-34, in a Big East match up at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, FL. Cincinnati is now bowl eligible and sits alone at the top of the conference standings.
Collaros, who tossed two bonehead INTs in the first half, ended the game with 389-passing yards with three TDs, two more rushing, and led a seven-play, 70-yard, game-winning drive that was capped off with a two-yard TD run, which help give the Bearcats a three-point lead with 12 seconds left.
Junior quarterback B.J. Daniels tossed for 409 yards and three TDs, but the Bulls (4-3, 0-3) are still searching for their first league win.
On Friday night, two of the local SB Nation New York college programs, Syracuse University and Rutgers University were in action. Click on the links below for the game day StoryStreams that recap all the action.
