Here are few players for New York Jets and New York Giants fans to keep an eye on in tonight's Orange Bowl between Stanford and Virginia Tech.
It will be nice to watch Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck, but neither the Jets or Giants are getting the No. 1 overall pick or taking Luck, so let's move beyond that.
How about Virginia Tech running back Ryan Williams? The Giants might be in the market for a back, and LaDainian Tomlinson of the Jets is not getting younger. ESPN's Todd McShay expects Williams to be a first-round pick if he declares, so keep an eye on him.
SB Nation's Mocking the Draft has a preview of players to watch for both teams.
For Stanford some of the possible early-round players to watch in addition to Luck and Williams would be Jonathan Martin, OT (RS Soph., 1st-2nd), Chase Thomas, OLB (RS Soph., 2nd-3rd), David DeCastro, G (RS Soph., 2nd-4th).
For Virginia Tech, after Williams keep an eye on Blake DeChristopher, OT (Jr., 2nd-4th).
The Giants select 19th overall. The Jets place in the selection order will be determined by how they fare in the playoffs.
