2011 Senior Bowl: Giants and Jets-Related Updates

Here are a look at how some of the players New York Jets and New York Giants fans should be keeping an eye on fared on Day 1 of Senior Bowl workouts, which included weigh-ins and the first practices.

Giants (picking 19th in the NFL Draft)

Michigan State linebacker Greg Jones was impessive, as was Boston College outside linebacker Mark Herzlich.

Offensive tackle Nate Solder (Colorado) did not have a great first day, but another offensive, Wisconsin’s Gabe Carimi, apparently did. Boston College offensive tackle Anthony Castonzo is another player who has been connected to the Giants.

Jets (selecting 30th)

Players to keep an eye on for the Jets include Allen Bailey, De (Miami, Fl.), linebacker Von Miller (Texas A&M) and Baylor defensive tackle Phil Taylor.

The North squad is practicing right now and the South practices at 5 p.m. ET. You can tune in on NFL Network, if you are lucky enough to have access to it.
