New York Knicks vs. Washington Wizards: Knicks Hope To Break One Streak, Extend Another

The Knicks, losers of six straight, hope to unleash their frustrations tonight against the Washington Wizards. New York had an unlikely opportunity to break their losing streak on Saturday in Oklahoma City, but Kevin Durant broke their hearts with a game-winning three-pointer. Tonight, they face a Wizards team that just beat the Celtics (and Jazz a few games before that), but still sits at the bottom of the Southeast Division. Most importantly, Washington has yet to win a road game this season, and their streak of 20 straight losses away from the Verizon Center is closing in on some notorious records.

All that being the case, tonight is an important chance to get back on track. Raymond Felton, Amar'e Stoudemire, and Wilson Chandler played solidly in New York's previous two wins this season against the Wizards, and would very much like to break out of their current slumps in a third.

Basically, a win against the lowly Wizards would help to momentarily silence (or at least distract) the critics. A seventh-straight loss might very well incite riot.

Tipoff's at 7:30 on MSG and NBA TV.
