The second game of the divisional round of the NFL playoffs today pits the sixth-seeded Green Bay Packers at the top-seeded Atlanta Falcons (FOX, 8 p.m. ET).
Interestingly, it seems the more predictions or previews you read the more you realize the Falcons are getting very little respect for a top-seeded team that went 13-3 in the regular season. The Georgia Dome will be rocking and it will have to help the Falcons, even if I am one of those people picking the Packers.
The Falcons are led by quarterback Matt Ryan, running back Michael Turner and wide receiver Roddy White on offense. Defensively, John Abraham (13 sacks) and Curtis Lofton (115 tackles) are key players.
Green Bay defeated Philadelphia last week to advance to the divisional round. The Packers are led on offense by quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Running back James Starks had an excellent game last week and Green Bay hopes Starks can again give them a running game they have missed much of the season.
On defense, the Packers are led by standout linebacker Clay Matthews.
