- Roger Federer won, Maria Sharapova did not Monday in U.S. Open tennis tournament action. Bigger question that came out of Monday's action is this -- what the heck is going on with Alex Rodriguez's love life? If the New York Yankee slugger and actress Cameron Diaz are supposed to be an item, how come they were both at the tournament Monday -- seperately? And why was A-Rod with tennis analyst Mary Jo Fernandez? C'mon, TMZ, where are you when we need you? We have to know these things. ↵
- Speaking of Rodriguez, before he ventured out to watch a little tennis, he played in the Yankees' 4-3 loss to Baltimore. A-Rod drove in two runs to become the first player in big-league history to have 14 seasons of at least 100 RBI. By the way, how did the Yankees lose to the Orioles, anyway? ↵
- The New York Mets got pounded by the Washington Nationals, 13-3. ↵
