Good morning, New York sports fans! So, put yourself in the position of a New York City Sports Editor this morning. Who would you have given the back page to?
↵- ↵
- Does it belong to Braylon Edwards and the New York Jets after Edwards' DWI arrest early Tuesday morning? Nice that Braylon at least had the company of two teammates when he got stopped by police. By the way, anyone surprised that Edwards will play Sunday against Miami? I'm not. To be honest, football organizations generally don't care what guys do Monday through Saturday, provided they show up ready to play on Sunday. ↵
- Does the back page belong to Antrel Rolle and the New York Giants, after Rolle's tirade Tuesday on WFAN? By the way, if you are going to call out coaches and teammates, Rolle did it well because he also made absolutely certain to put blame on himself as well. On the heels of Rolle's remarks, you have to wonder if there are deeper problems within the Giants locker room than anyone realized. ↵
- The New York Yankees won't get the back page. They did, however, get an important 8-3 victory over the Tampa Bay Rays, pushing their American League East lead to 2.5 games. ↵
- The New York Mets get a mention way inside somewhere. They lost to the Florida Marlins, 5-2, as they play out the string in their final road trip of the season. ↵
