Good morning, New York sports. In case you missed it, all is right again in the baseball world as you start your day today.
↵That is because the New York Yankees won a thrilling, 8-7, extra-inning game from the Tampa Bay Rays Tuesday night to reclaim first place in the American League East. How about a 'Hip, Hip, Jorge' for Jorge Posada, who blasted a game-winning pinch-hit home run in the 10th inning? And a cheer for reserve outfielder Greg Golson, whose laser beam from right field cut down one of the game's fastest players, Carl Crawford, at third base to end the game. See Pinstripe Alley for more.

- The New York Jets are left this morning trying to figure out how to replace Pro Bowl nose tackle Kris Jenkins, lost for the season with a knee injury. The name that leaps to mind is Albert Haynesworth, who we know the Washington Redskins no longer want. Gang Green Nation doesn't seem to want any part of the immensely talented, but always tough to deal with, star defensive tackle. ↵
- All is right this morning for New York Giants fans, as fan favorite Bear Pascoe is back on the 53-man roster. Kevin Boss's concussion made it necessary for the Giants to add a tight end, and Bear is the man. ↵
- R.A. Dickey continued the best season of his career by earning his 11th victory as the Mets defeated the Pittsburgh Pirates, 9-1. See Amazin' Avenue for more about the Mets. ↵
