Andy Pettitte moved closer to a return to the New York Yankees Tuesday, pitching five innings for Double A Trenton in the Eastern League Championship Series.
Pettitte allowed two runs while throwing 67 pitches. The Yankees need Pettitte (11-2) for a playoff run, as their starting rotation has been shaky beyond ace CC Sabathia.
