Jets Accused Of Acting 'Like Frat Boys' With Female Reporter

The New York Jets reportedly acted "like frat boys" in the presence of a female reporter Saturday.

A female reporter from TV Azteca was present today.  Multiple sources with knowledge of the situation tell us that the Jets responded to her presence by "acting like frat boys."

Bart Hubbuch of the New York Post made reference to the situation via Twitter on a couple of occasions.  Hubbuch said that defensive backs coach Dennis Thurman was reportedly overthrowing players in drills so that they could "accidentally" run into her.  Hubbuch also says that at one point linebacker Jason Taylor volunteered to take reps in the drill.

Hubbuch described the scene as "hilarious," but that sentiment wasn't universal.

Some believe that the reporter appeared to be embarrassed, to the point of being close to tears.  Other reporters found the behavior of the players to be juvenile.

Lovely. You would think these guys had better things to do, and that they would have some clue how to conduct themselves as professionals.

The reporter's discomfort can clearly be determined via this series of tweets. For JetsBlog to actually defend this behavior, regardless of the reporter's looks or history, is ridiculous

This is not Rex Ryan cursing too much, or idiots eating cheeseburgers on the practice field. Maybe the Jets should actually concern themselves with trying to win games rather than hrassing people trying to do their jobs. The fact that Ryan may have actually been involved in this is even worse.

There is nothing funny about this whatsoever.
