Good morning, New York sports fans. Here is your first look at the local sports scene.

- All you really need to know about the New York Yankees' 6-3 loss to the Toronto Blue Jays Thursday night is that deposed starter Javier Vazquez was in the game in relief of Phil Hughes by the fourth inning. Oh, and the Yankees left the bases loaded in the ninth inning. The Yanks head to Chicago today, where Manager Joe Girardi, a Chicago native, is sure to hear lots of questions about the Cubs' managerial opening. ↵
- The New York Mets also loaded the bases in the ninth inning but came up short, falling to the Florida Marlins, 5-4. ↵
- Darrelle Revis did not sign with the New York Jets Wednesday. That, of course, leaves reporters everywhere thumbing their noses at Tim Cowlishaw of the Dallas Morning News, who insisted he would do just that while everyone else wondered where he was getting his info. ↵
- New York Giants' quarterback Eli Manning can wear a helmet again. That's good news for the Giants, since you can't play NFL games in a baseball cap. ↵
- The NHL announced its TV schedule Wednesday. Lots of Rangers, not so much Islanders or Devils on the national stage. Guess we know who the big dog in town is among the hockey teams. ↵
