New York Rangers Official TV Schedule

New, 1 comment

The New York Rangers, one of the big market teams in the NHL, was rewarded with a ton of national time slots this year.

Let’s kick it off with NHL on NBC. The Rangers have six games on NBC this year:

Sunday February 13th: Pittsburgh Penguins at New York Rangers.
Sunday February 20th: Philadelphia Flyers at New York Rangers.
Sunday March 6th: Philadelphia Flyers at New York Rangers.
Sunday March 20th: New York Rangers at Pittsburgh Penguins.
Sunday April 3rd: New York Rangers at Philadelphia Flyers.

Obviously they got a little creative with the match-ups here. Regardless I love some national face time against two of the top teams in the Atlantic. I do happen to like the NHL on NBC, and the games are pretty much guaranteed to be exciting.

The Rangers play 11 times on Versus.

Monday October 18th: Colorado Avalanche at New York Rangers
Tuesday November 9th: Washington Capitals at New York Rangers.
Wednesday November 17th: Boston Bruins at New York Rangers.
Wednesday December 15th: New York Rangers at Pittsburgh Penguins.
Monday January 24th: New York Rangers at Washington Capitals.
Tuesday February 1st: Pittsburgh Penguins at New York Rangers.
Monday February 7th: New York Rangers at Detroit Red Wings.
Tuesday March 1st: Buffalo Sabres at New York Rangers.
Wednesday March 30th: New York Rangers at Buffalo Sabres.
Monday April 4th: Boston Bruins at New York Rangers.
Thursday April 7th: Atlanta Thrashers at New York Rangers.

I love the match-ups with the Washington Capitals and the Boston Bruins. Nothing like some Alexander Ovechkin hate, and there’s nothing like a good Rangers Bruins match-up. I also enjoy the games against the Sabres, and I don't mind the game against the Avalanche.

Ryan Miller, Alexander Ovechkin, Mike Green, Alexander Semin, Ryan Miller, Thomas Vanek all of the Penguins and all of the Red Wings are the big ticket feature items here. Versus did a pretty good job with this, in my opinion. I like some of the original six match-ups here against Detroit and Boston, and I think this is a nice diversity in the schedule.
