New New York Judge Assigned To Lawrence Taylor's Rape Case

When Lawrence Taylor appears in court next Wednesday, there will be a new judge that hears the sex assault case brought against Taylor in New York.

The Journal News says the State Supreme Court Justice William Kelly was assigned to the case after Rockland County Court Judge William Nelson recused himself. It’s not clear why. Prosecutors and Taylor’s attorney did not immediately return calls from The Associated Press on Friday.

In case you had forgotten the particulars of the case, Taylor allegedly paid $300 to have sex to a 16-year runaway in New York. He plead not guilty to charges of third-degree rape, patronizing a prostitute, sexual abuse and child endangerment.
