- If you are driving south on the New York State Thruway today from anywhere in upstate south of Cortland, beware of football players in large, sometimes gaudy, vehicles zooming down the highway toward New Jersey. Training camps end this morning for the New York Jets and New York Giants, and we all know these guys will waste no time getting to the Meadowlands as fast as they can. ↵
- So, Roger Clemens has been indicted. Ha, ha, ha! All he ever had to do is come clean about his use of performance enhancing drugs, and he would not be in this kind of trouble. I don't feel sorry for him at all. ↵
- Remember a couple of days ago when it seemed the New York Yankees could not hit? Well, things change quickly in baseball. Thursday the Yankees hammered Detroit, 11-5, exploding for nine runs in the sixth inning. ↵
- Yes, the New York Mets are still playing. Why, I don't know for sure, but they lost to Houston, 3-2, Thursday. ↵
- The New York Liberty o the WNBA defeated the Tulsa Shock, 95-85, Thursday. Nicole Powell has 20 points for the Liberty. ↵
