The New York Yankees have placed designated hitter Lance Berkman on the disabled list with an ankle injury. It appears they have recalled infielder Eduardo Nunez to take his place, though that has yet to be officially announced.
Seems Berkman has fallen prey to the curse of Nick Johnson.
