MLB Players Union Files Grievance Against Mets Relating To Rodriguez Situation

The New York Mets placed troubled closer Francisco Rodriguez on the disqualified list Tuesday, meaning that they wouldn’t be required to pay him for the remainder of the season.

The Major League Baseball Player’s Association is unhappy with this, however, and announced it is filing a grievance. If the case isn’t settled, according the Associated Press report, arbitrator Shyam Das would decide whether the team’s actions were justified.
