New York Jets center Nick Mangold took himself out ot Monday night’s preseason game against the New York Giants because he said he “didn’t feel right.”
Mangold, who didn’t dress for the game because he was recovering from a hard hit in practice last week, returned in full pads Wednesday.
“I don’t have the medical definition or anything,” Mangold said on Wednesday. “In five years of being in the NFL I’ve had my share of bumps, bruises and everything in between. This time it just didn’t feel right. I was fortunate we took it seriously and had the chance to sit down for it.”
According to the report, he will be available for the Jets preseason game against the Carolina Panthers on Saturday.
