- Johan Santana pitched a complete-game shutout as the Mets beat Colorado, 4-0. Problem is, does anybody really care what the Mets do on the field anymore? With the legal troubles of both Santana and Francisco Rodriguez, the Mets activity on the police blotter is more entertaining than what they do on the field these days. ↵
- The Yankees edged the Kansas City Royals, 4-3, as CC Sabathia came within one out of a complete game Thursday night. With Mariano Rivera getting a night off, David Robertson got the final out. ↵
- The New York Jets and Darrelle Revis have finally decided to stop negotiating a new contract for the star cornerback in the media. Wow, what a novel concept. Talk to each other instead of just trading insults via the press. ↵
- The New York Giants are not getting much attention from the national media these days, and General Manager Jerry Reese says that is just fine. ↵
- The New York Knicks apparently don't want Isiah Thomas talking about them. Why the Knicks got involved with Thomas again is beyond me. He embarrassed the franchise once, but apparently James Dolan is blind to it. ↵
