Craig Calcaterra of Hardball Talk reports that the punishment for New York Mets closer Francisco Rodriguez is in.
For those of you wondering what may happen to Francisco Rodriguez as a result of his little dustup with the wife’s old man, the Mets are suspending him for two games and he will be subject to anger management classes.
Bill Price of the New York Daily News doesn’t think that’s stiff enough.
The punishment? At this point, it appears to be a two-game suspension and a anger management classes. But honestly, how can the Mets trot this guy out of the bullpen a few days from now as if nothing happened?
How do the other players in the room react when a guy who flipped out in front of their kids and wives comes strolling back into the clubhouse with just a slap on the wrist?
If this whole baseball thing doesn’t work out, there’s always reality television.
