Francisco Rodriguez Released From Police Custody

New York Mets pitcher Francisco Rodriguez was arraigned Thursday morning and has since been released with a charge of third-degree assault and an order of protection on behalf of his girlfriend and her father that will keep him from being able to see his children until family court.

It also seems as if his two day stay on the restricted list will be the only baseball discipline that he's given:

Source: No additional discipline will be levied on K-Rod by MLB, Mets will likely send closer to anger management classes of some sort.

While this isn't great news, the fact that he could be back in the Mets bullpen sooner rather than later is certainly a positive.
