↵1. Chris Chambliss homered off of Mark Littell in game five of the 1976 playoff series between the Yankees and Royals to take the AL pennant.
↵2. Cliff Johnson batted .400 for the Yankees in the 1977 playoffs.
↵3. Sparky Lyle pitched five and 1/3 innings in game four of the '77 playoffs to pick up the win.
↵4. Bucky Dent only batted .200 in the 1978 playoffs, but he drove in four runs and would go on to be named the World Series MVP that year, when the Yankees beat the Dodgers.
