This is a terrible headline. Let's do this:

- ↵
- The Yankees new toys didn't show off much tonight: Austin Kearns didn't play and Lance Berkman went 0-for-4, but that doesn't dispel the fact that Mark Teixeira, Nick Swisher and Robinson Cano homered en route to a 5-4 Yankees win, tying their three-game set with the Rays. David Robertson's solid eighth inning in relief got him a win, as Robbie Cano's homer in the 9th gave the Yankees a one-run victory. Pinstripe Alley has more. ↵
- The Yankees weren't done trading this weekend, acquiring Kerry Wood from the Indians to bolster the bullpen. ↵
- The Mets, again, did not do anything at the deadline. They did, however, figure out a way to beat the Arizona Diamondbacks for the first time this season, 5-4. The game was tied 4-4 in the 9th when Carlos Beltran's sac fly drove in the winner. David Wright had another great game with two hits and three RBIs. Hisanori Takahashi struck out 10 but got a no decision. Amazin' Avenue with more. ↵
- Thierry Henry got his first MLS assist with the Red Bulls on Saturday night, but it wasn't enough, as Metro drew the Houston Dynamo 2-2 on the road. Juan Pablo Angel scored twice for New York. ↵
