Until Alex Rodriguez hits hits 600 home runs, we'll be his batter vs. pitcher history against his opposition for the night. Tonight? Josh Tomlin and the Cleveland Indians.

Career vs. the Indians: 29 home runs

Career at Progressive Field/Jacobs Field: 10

Indians' Bullpen:

Vs. Chris Perez: 1-4, 1 HR, 4 RBI

Vs. Rafael Perez: 0-3, 2 K's. (In postseason play: 1-1, 1 HR, 1 RBI)

Vs. Jensen Lewis: 0-2, 2 K's

Vs. Joe Smith: 0-2, 1 K

Vs. Hector Ambriz: 1-1, 1 RBI

Vs. Tony Sipp: 0-1

Has not faced Jeanmar Gomez, Jess Todd, or Frank Herrmann

Analysis: Man, I never thought I would have to write this many 600 Tracker posts. Seems like A-Rod has been stuck at 599 for way longer than the week and 20-odd at-bats he's been there. Carmona has struck Rodriguez out five times in eight career at-bats, eight in 11 career at-bats if you include Carmona's start in the 2007 ALDS. That does not bode well for Rodriguez. Neither does the fact he hasn't registered a hit off the Indians' bullpen yet this series.
