Rangers Officially Come To Terms With Alexander Frolov

The New York Rangers and Alexander Frolov agreed on a one-year, $3 million contract today, accord to TSN.

Here is the official statment from Glen Sather:

“Alex is a highly skilled player who we feel will play a key role in improving our offense and play in all situations,” Rangers President and General Manager Glen Sather said in a statement. “He is strong competitor and has the ability to play either wing position.”

Frolov makes the Rangers a dangerous team. Although his numbers have gone down the past three years, that’s mainly because of his lack of power play minutes and the Kings forcing him to work on his two-way game.

He is currently a complete player, and I would pencil him in for 20-30 goals this year; which will help take the burden off of Marian Gaborik.
