Yankees' Cano Extends Hitting Streak To 17 Games With RBI Double In First Inning

As the Sports Network's preview of today's Yankees/Orioles game noted, Robinson Cano might be the hottest hitter in the American League, with a hit streak spanning 16 games, during which he's hitting .471.

It didn't take him long at all to continue his hitting streak this afternoon. With two men on in the bottom of the first, Cano flicked the second pitch he saw from Kevin Millwood, a 90 mph fastball on the low outside corner, over Adam Jones' head in left-center field to drive in Nick Swisher from second. The Yankees lead, 2-0, having scored their first run when Millwood balked Derek Jeter in from third.
