The Rangers traded defenseman Bobby Sanguinetti, a Trenton native who got into 5 games with the big club last season, to the Carolina Hurricanes in exchange for picks, according to Larry Brooks of the New York Post.
The Rangers then selected Florida-born and raised forward Andrew Yogan with pick no. 100 in the draft. Yogan was born in Coral Springs and raised Boca Raton.
A familiar face provides his scouting report:
Erie Otters head coach Robbie Ftorek
"Andrew is a big, skilled power forward with soft hands and a great shot."
