Two big things happened within the past hour that don’t directly affect the New York Rangers at all, but are important to note.
↵1) The Boston Bruins traded their 15th overall pick, an undisclosed pick and Dennis Wideman for Nathan Horton. Word of mouth was that the Rangers were interested in Horton but obviously that isn’t possible now.
↵2) Tom Renney was named Head Coach of the Edmonton Oilers. This actually has nothing to do with the Rangers at all, but good to see the former Rangers Head Coach get a gig somewhere else. He really deserved it.
