New York Jets’ cornerback Darrelle Revis has been saying he wants to be paid like the best cornerback in the NFL, which many believe he is.
Well, a report has surfaced that the team is willing to make Revis the highest-paid cornerback in league history.
Newsday reported that the Jets are willing to offer Revis the most lucrative contract ever for a cornerback, one that exceeds $100 million. That could satisfy Revis’ demand that he be paid “50 cents more” than Raiders CB Nnamdi Asomugha (who has a three-year, $45.3 million deal).
If Revis truly does want to be with the Jets forever, and this report is correct, that should be taken care of.
