Big East Basketball: St. Bonaventure Upsets St. John's In Last Seconds

St. Bonaventure's Andrew Nicholson scored 19 points, collected 13 rebounds and nailed the game-winning shot with 5.2 seconds remaining to help the Bonnies upset host St. John's, 67-66.

St. Bonaventure (5-2 -- 15-16 last season) trailed by 10 with about 13 minutes to go in the second half but rallied and ended the Red Storm's five-game winning streak. 

St. John's (5-2) had it's three-game winning streak against the Upstate New York team snapped. 

St. Bonaventure, which was picked to finish 13 out of 14 in the Atlantic 10 preseason polls, won the game at the free throw line going 18 of 22. St. John's shot 10 of 20 from the charity stripe.

St. John's Dwight Hardy scored a team-high 24 points.

The Johnnies have two non-conference games remaining before they begin Big East Conference play on Dec. 29 against West Virginia.
