A Big East Conference has cracked the BCS Rankings for the first time in several weeks. West Virginia is 24th in the BCS this week. The Mountaineers are ranked No. 23 in the AP and No. 24 in the USA Today polls after beating Pittsburgh, 35-10, Saturday.
West Virginia is now 8-3 overall and 4-2 in Big East play. Connecticut and Pitt are also 4-2 in the conference.

Despite not being in the BCS top 25, Connecticut (7-4) will earn the Big East's automatic berth to the Orange Bowl with a victory over South Florida on Saturday.
There was a big shakeup at the top in this week's BCS rankings. Auburn overtook Oregon as the No. 1 team, with the Ducks at No. 2. That would leave those two teams on track to play for the national championship. TCU is third, Stanford moved from sixth to fourth and Wisconsin from seventh to fifth.
Boise State tumbled from No. 4 to No. 11 after losing to Nevada Friday night.
