Black Eyed Peas To Perform During Super Bowl Halftime Show

So much for the NFL's recent run on long-time, veteran (yes, read 'old') performers for the Super Bowl halftime show. The gig will go to the Black Eyed Peas this time around.

In recent years the show has gone to acts like The Who, Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Prince, the Rolling Stones and Paul McCartney. That seemed like a trend toward older acts less likely to offend anyone in the viewing audience.

The Black Eyed Peas will perform at Cowboys Stadium in North Texas on Sunday, February 6, the NFL announced today on national television during NFL on FOX coverage of the New Orleans Saints at Dallas Cowboys game.

Since forming in 1995, six-time Grammy award-winning, multi-platinum recording artists The Black Eyes Peas have sold more than 28 million albums worldwide and more than 30.8 million digital tracks.
